Love the thoughts here! The implications are far wider than the title seems to imply. Small social networks can, and ideally, will, have a HUGE impact on both our on- and offline lives. I’ve also written about the theme but from a slightly different angle. I’d argue that the transition to smaller, niche social networks has to start with us, as users, as I don’t think government understands the problems well enough to make any significant changes (not to mention FB will try to lobby themselves out of whatever regulations are attempted). But essentially we can agree that this is a positive trend and by writing about it we are certainly bringing more awareness to the possibility of change in a positive direction. Keep up the good work!
